Picking up a pair of binoculars is a great way to shift your perception. Try it in your backyard and enjoy the image of a small moth flittering it's hind legs on top of a flowering sage or check out a hummingbird that's enjoying the last fuchsia blooms of the summer. Ants can be particularly interesting! Watch them carry away leaves and dropped potato chips to their mounds.
